Kathy Milbeck, MA)Kathy co-founded Equinemity in 2006. After almost 20 years with her own horses, Kathy has seen and experienced countless times how these soulful and sensitive beings help people awaken heart-based moments of authenticity. She believes in creating a space that breathes confidence so individuals can see a future full of possibilities as well as the path that leads to fulfilling those dreams. Kathy received her certification in equine experiential educational and corporate coaching by Equine Experiential Association (E3A) in 2006. She is a Master Trainer and teaches equine assisted learning (EAL, while serving on the board of E3A as well).
Kathy brings the instincts and experience of almost 42 years as a psychotherapist to the world of equine facilitated human development. After receiving her Masters in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame in 1980, she worked at Special Children’s Clinic in Reno for a decade, and served as an assistant clinical professor at University of Nevada School of Medicine for 11 years. Kathy has maintained a successful private psychotherapy practice since 1982. |
Jennifer Kaplan, MAJennifer Schreiner Kaplan is a partner at Equinemity in Reno, Nevada. She is a brilliant, inspiring, heart-centered teacher, coach and facilitator. Fearless in her commitment to help people create the freedom within their thoughts to live out their dreams, Jennifer is devoted to spotting the genius within her clients, and developing and upleveling her clients’ potential, strengths and high value gifts.
She began her equine assisted learning (EAL) consulting work and corporate training in 2013 with Equinemity. As a guardian to four re-homed horses, Jennifer continually hones her intuitive communication skills through the horse/human connection. She is wholeheartedly committed to helping her clients discover their inner sovereignty through the heart-mind connection. Jennifer received her BA in Social Psychology and a MA in Counseling and Educational Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno. She was an educational leadership and psychology instructor at Truckee Meadows Community College for over nine years, teaching success styled classes with a focus on life, career and educational skills. Currently Jennifer is an E3A Master Trainer and offers certification courses in Equine Experiential Education. |
Polly Ryan, MAPolly Ryan, M.A., co-founder of Equinemity, received her Masters degree in counseling psychology from CSU, Northridge. She has been providing counseling to families, couples, and individuals for over 28 years in both California and Nevada. Having studied Tibetan Buddhist meditation for over two and a half decades, Polly is also an authorized teacher of meditation teaching regularly at For Goodness Sake in downtown Truckee. She is a certified in Equine Experiential Education and Corporate Coaching by E3A and is co-founder of Equinemity. Polly discovered the magic of horses as partners in learning as an adult through her daughter, who inspired her to learn to ride (and jump!) at the age of 48. Polly loves the process of equine facilitated education and the incredible ability of the horses to bring participants to an authentic place of insight and power.
